A Los Angeles based photographer Volker Fleck and Cambridge based graphic artist Oliver Cartwright came up with a creative partnership to express and reflect the artistic nature of fashion in their work. Behind burdens of running businesses, preparing for shows, looking for designers and models, arranging contacts with press and buyers, worrying about the bottom line ... how much inspiration is left in the industry to talk about the beauty and creativity of fashion? That’s why Transartlantic project attracted our attention: it is all about what fashion should be in the first place - a child of art. Oliver shared his creative concept with us: the art pieces are born thanks to blending photography and drawing styles, blending an object and an abstract like you see in many of his pieces with female models and color splashes. The outcome is quite impressive:
